Highest Pass Rates in New York: Fisher Pharmacy Graduates Outperform Statewide Peers
365体育官方网址 Graduates of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy had the highest pass rates in the state of New York in 2019 on two pharmacy licensure exams: the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MJPE). The pass rates also rank among the top 10 percent nationwide.
The exams, which are administered by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, revealed that 2019 graduates of the Wegmans School of Pharmacy well exceeded the national average on both exams. Fisher pharmacists achieved an impressive 97.37 percent pass rate on the NAPLEX, and 94.34 percent pass rate on the MJPE; comparing to the national averages of 88.34 percent and 83.58 percent respectively.
“These outcomes highlight our ongoing commitment to excellence in intellectual integrity, outlined in our mission statement,” said Dr. Christine Birnie, dean of the School. “The student’s hard work, combined with the faculty’s commitment to our student’s success, creates a learning environment that prepares our students to become pharmacists of distinction.”
The NAPLEX measures clinical knowledge of the practice of pharmacy, while the MJPE tests the pharmacy jurisprudence knowledge and a candidate’s comprehension of pharmacy law. Compiled results from both exams can be found on the NABP website:
